GeniusIQ – Terminology

Terminology

“App” – or ” NexJobs App” an application, which can be downloaded via mobile devices associated with GeniusIQ which allows candidates to register, apply for all roles posted using GeniusIQ and manage their own personal data

“Application” when a candidate submits their information to a potential employer using the ‘application’ process built into the App and the Search 7 Apply Pages associated with the GeniusIQ Control Panel

“ATS”  –  Online Applicant Tracking System supported by the latest versions of web browsers, such as (but not limited to) Google, Firefox, Microsoft Edge. GeniusIQ is not guaranteed to work with older web browser technology

“Authorisers”  – Key individuals responsible for the authorisation of a process

“Browser”  – A computer program with a graphical user interface for displaying HTML files, used to navigate the World Wide Web

“Customer” – Customer paying the annual licence fee for the use of the GeniusIQ control panel, Search & Apply web pages

“Candidate” – Candidates applying for a vacancy/role advertised via the GeniusIQ or NexJobs APP

“Control Panel”– The GeniusIQ control panel is where all users, vacancies and permissions are controlled

“DKIM” – DomainKeys Identified Mail (DKIM) is an email authentication method designed to detect forged sender addresses in emails (email spoofing), a technique often used in phishing and email spam.

“GDPR” – General Data Protection Rights

“ISO 27001” – ISO 27001 (formally known as ISO/IEC 27001:2005) is a specification for an information security management system (ISMS). An ISMS is a framework of policies and procedures that includes all legal, physical and technical controls involved in an organisation’s information risk management processes.

“My Profile” – Candidates Personal Data, including name, address, email address, postcode, current job title, current employer, CV, Employment History, References, Education, Skills, Equality & Diversity, Criminal Convictions, Disabilities.

“NexJobs App” – or “App” The Application which can be downloaded via mobile devices associated with GeniusIQ which allows candidates to register, apply for all roles posted using GeniusIQ and manage their own personal data

“Personal Data” – Personal data is any information that relates to an identified or identifiable living individual. Different pieces of information, which collected together can lead to the identification of a particular person, also constitute personal data.

“Platform” – Microsoft Azure is a cloud computing service created by Microsoft for building, testing, deploying, and managing applications and services through Microsoft-managed data centers

“Push Notifications” – Notifications sent via the App to candidates where an action is required or has been complete as part of a vacancy application.

“Set Up” -The process of creating, populating and deploying the GeniusIQ to a customer

“SaaS” – Software as a Service

“Search & Apply” – Search and Apply web pages that display all vacancies listed via the GeniusATS Control Panel

“Software Elements” – Means the Deliverables based on the Licensed Software, excluding:

(a)        the Design Elements;

(b)        the Customer Materials; and

(c)         the Third-party Works;

“Stakeholders”  –  Individuals who have a key role in the project or a process within the recruitment process

“Talent” –  Candidates that have applied for a role, or registered via the candidate profile on the Search & Apply pages, or candidates that have registered via the NexJobs App

“The Provider” – Genius.Online Ltd, Ground Floor South Barn, Broughton Business Estate, Nr Skipton, North Yorkshire, BD23 3AE.

“UAT”  -User Acceptance Testing – System testing completed by the Customer prior to the system being deployed to the live environment, to ensure that the users, vacancy templates, workflows and communications are correct

“URL”  –  Uniform Resource Locator – A Uniform Resource Locator (URL), colloquially termed a web address, is a reference to a web resource that specifies its location on a computer network and a mechanism for retrieving it.

“Webinar”  – A seminar conducted over the Internet
